About Cedar Lane Farm
Located in the heart of rural Dinwiddie County, Virginia, just 2.5 miles south of Dinwiddie Courthouse, Cedar Lane Farm sits on 112 acres of beautiful, historic farmland. The picturesque setting boasts a 1780s farmhouse built by Colonel Robert Edward Pegram during the period of the Revolutionary War though he actively served in the War of 1812. His remains, along with his wife and children, rest in a grave site located on the property. While visiting, guests will enjoy overlooking horses grazing in the pastures, resident ducks and geese wading on one of six ponds, four out buildings, a beautiful swimming pool, and scenic green and amber fields yielding the crop of the season.

The farmhouse is occupied by owners Mitch and Dawn Upton. It came to life when our youngest daughter Olivia got engaged in 2020 to her high school sweetheart, Trevor. It was in the preparations for her special day that we realized we have the facilities to be able to make dreams a reality for other brides and grooms. Transforming our daughter's childhood home into a wedding venue has been a labor of love. With both daughters’ blessings, Cedar Lane Farm Wedding and Events Venue was born. Named for the twenty-two mature, cedar trees lining the drive to the farmhouse, Cedar Lane Farm offers a number of amenities and picturesque settings perfect for hosting outdoor weddings and events.
